We identified a gap in the market for affordable, customizable POS systems that could cater specifically to the nuanced needs of Indian retail chains, encompassing taxation logic and offline capabilities.
The Challenge
Existing SaaS POS solutions were either too expensive or lacked the ability to function seamlessly during internet outages, a common issue for many retail storefronts.
The Solution
We built an offline-first POS platform. It utilizes local storage to record transactions during outages and automatically syncs to the cloud database once connectivity is restored. The system also features a robust analytics dashboard for store owners.
Design Process & Execution
Our approach was to systematically dissect the complex constraints of the domain and restructure the architecture to prioritize ease-of-use. We underwent extensive wireframing and interactive prototyping before cementing the visual identity.
